Vicious Crunch Distortion
Devices Used:
Gibson flying c with pearly gate humbuckers, creamy dreamer, .05 mm hotlicks copper pick, peavy studio chorus 210 amplifier.
Sound Description:
Very nasty attention-getting grind sound for intros and fast rythym riffs.
Settings:
Punch at about 9 o'clock, cream at 12 o'clock, sustain at full. amp eq set to full low, no mid, full high. between 10 - 11 o'clock on the presence. i used full tone on a hot bridge pickup. take the copper pick and use it at about a 30 degree angle to slice the strings down by the bridge. it gives excellent feedback effects, and very unique feel.
