Equip used is gretsch 6118 (and/or charvel mdl 5); carvin quad pre-amp; carvin tube 100 power amp; (2)carvin 1x12 112e cabs;
Sound Description:
speed 1: thick chorus
speed 2: leslie chorus
Settings:
I use this chorus in the master f/x loop of the quad pre-amp. it sounds just as good in front of a combo amp. the depth is the most important setting on this devise. I usually have it set at about 10-11 o'clock. the rate knob controls how fast it switches from one speed to the next. I usually have this set at fast, but you could use it to achieve the sound of a leslie changing speed...very cool.
speed 1 I set slow for a deep, rich chorus.
speed 2 I set pretty fast for a whirling type sound.
This is a very high quality unit. It sounds even better in stereo which is how I hear it most of the time. criticisms: it seems to add a super high freq thing when its on. I can live with that though. an outstanding value: list is $129. I paid $89+ TAX.
