The Metallica Sound

Recording Tip:
Devices used:
Squire Stratocaster, Boss DS-1 Distortion Pedal, Fender Frontman 15R.

Sound Description:
A lot like most of Metallica's sound because you get that nice low crunch coming out of your amp.

Tips:
First of all you want to use the brigde pickup or move your switch and use the brigde/middle pickup. From my expeirience it seems like you get a little bit better distortion sound when you use the bridge pickup plus that's the pickup that James Hetfield uses and I like it.

Setup:
Settings for the distortion pedal.
Tone at either 9, 10, or 12 O clock
Level where ever you want to put it
Distortion all the way up

Settings for the amp.
Use the clean channel
Treble at 6, 7, or 8
Mid at 0 or 1
Bass at 10
