The biggest keys to the sound are the Boss pedals and a Country
Gentleman style guitar (like an ES-335, Gretsch, etc.) for the
more recent stuff, and a Fender Jazzmaster or Stratocaster and
the Roland Jazz Chorus 120 for the older stuff. The Fender
Bass VI is also a key ingredient in the Cure sound.
