Equipment Description and Setup:
Equipment: Fender Super 112, POD, Whirlwind A/B box, Shure SM57, Various Strats and Teles.

My live setup is quite simple, I mike my amp with the SM57 and split my guitar signal from the guitar cord to the Super 112 (fantastic amp by the way), and to the POD. Both the mike and the POD go to the PA. It also enables me to play with great depth and glowing tube presence at lower volumes. I can also swap between both or either/or. It help to have a guitar with a great sound. My fave for a one guitar show is a Fender Strat with the Powerhouse pickup system. Really helps keep the single coil hum down to a minimum. The Fender amp gives me this gorgeous tone whether driven hard or clean, and the POD enhances it with the TUBETONE models and great effects like Leslie, swells, Delays, and compression. Compression is necessary in smaller venues or large ones, but makes a huge difference if you are the only guitar player in an ensemble. I occasionally play slide and EBow, but mostly just the guitar through some gorgeous electron tubes. THEY ROCK!
