Electro Harmonix / Electric Mistress

Lush Chorus

Devices Used:
Ibanez TS-9, Electric Mistress, Echo-Plex, 70's Twin or MKII 50W Marshall

Sound Description:
Chorus effect using the EM, very clean and smooth, probably one of the better time domain effect pedals of it's time (early-mid 70's), and could easily compete with the digital stuff today (but a little noisier). It uses a tri-angle/sawtooth wave for sweep which eliminates the detune anomalies. Coupled with a vintage tape echo (echo-plex) and a Tube Screamer in front it's hard to go wrong.

Settings:
Electric Mistress, Rate: 2-4 o'clock, Range: 9 o'clock, Color: 9 o'clock.
TS-9, Drive: 2-3 o'clock, Tone: rolled off completely at about 7 o'clock, Level: 12 - 2 o'clock or whatever works best.
Echoplex, Repeat Setting: about 10 o'clock (assuming runaway starts at about 12 - 1), Level: just shy of dry level, time: 23 works good.

Fender Twin set about; bright=on, treble=6, middle=5, bass=4. You may have to adjust some as I had made some slight mods on my twin.
Marshall Amp about; bass=9, mid=8, treb=4, pres=4, preamp in just at clip on a clean signal.
