The "Crown" Sound
Devices Used:
To acheive the "Crown" sound, you must use a number of devices. First, you must use a strat of some kind ( I use Squiers). Next, I go into my DoD supra distortion then into 2 Dunlop Crybaby wahs. next, I go into an Electro-Harmonix Big Muff pi and a Univox Super fuzz. then, I use a Rocktron purple haze octavider set to the one octave up/down setting. Then I go into a Danelectro Cool Cat chorus which splits my singnal into a stereo format. On the left, I use an MXR Flanger, Electro Harmonix Small Stone, Traynor reverb, into a Squier 15 amp. On the right, I have the DOD Echo fx, Ibanez Flanger, Ibanez phaser, Tapco reverb, and then a Crate RX-15 amp.
Sound Description:
This sound doesn't use all of the components at the same time, but when they are all used, the sound is a sentual, sexy sound with two flangers spinning out of control. the delays job is to make the stereo sound full.
Settings:
Squier strat(neck pu) -Dod supra distortion( 50% vol., 40% tone, full Distortion)- 2 Dunlop wahs(variable)- Rocktron Purple Haze octavider(1 octave up, 1 down)- Danelectro Cool cat chorus( leslie setting)- LEFT -EH Big muff pi- MXR Flanger- EH Small stone- DOD Echo ( echo-100% regen-25% tape qual.-100%)- Traynor reverb- Squier 15 amp- RIGHT - Univox super fuzz- Ibanez Flanger- Ibanez Phaser- tapco reverb- Crate RX-15 amp.
