Tool

This is sort of like the leads you'd hear oin a Tool or an APC song. A guitar with humbuckers is ideal (I use a Les Paul), but use the bridge pickup in anycase.

Zakk Wylde

Devices Used:
ME-30 - Distortion Equalizer Chorus Wah Pedal

Sound Description:
This is how I get Zakk Wylde's sound. I recommend using a Les Paul or similar guitar with humbuckers. Use the neck pickup as much as possible to get the heaviness, but you'll probably need to use the bridge pickup to nail the Artificial Harmonics.

Metallica

Devices Used:
Guitar,Pedal,amp.

Sound Description:
This is the best sound of Metallica I had made, but maybe when you try it, you could say: this is to distorted for the first strings. Well if you didn't knew Metallica technique for this thing, I'll tell you: Just make a Palm Muting(needed strings), you'll realize that this is the way they do their riffs.
