Yes Batmania has more exciting action than softball and baseball and I can prove it. The three main components of softball and baseball are pitching, hitting and fielding, but the three main components of Batmania are pitching, hitting and more hitting. So it's a batter's game instead of a pitcher's game.
The playing field looks much more like a football field than a ball diamond, and it has a goal line at opposite ends of the playing field.
A portable home plate and a portable pitcher's plate (rubber) are used, and they are moved up and down the field in the process of play. the game, and each half inning starts with the pitcher, the catcher and the defenders (fielders) taking their positions, and the first batter taking his/her position along side of home plate.
The umpire calls "balls" and "strikes." There are foul balls, walks and strikeouts, but when the batter hits a fair ball, it's a whole new ball game!
The batter tries to hit the ball past the goal line at the opposite end of the playing field to score points for his/her team. But if he/she does not succeed, the defenders, who carry ball bats, try to hit the ball back past the goal line that home plate rests on, thus either team can score on a single play.
Furthermore, under a certain circumstance the batter has a second chance to hit the ball and score for even more excitement.
